Welcome to Brighton!
Living and studying in one of the UK’s liveliest cities is an exciting prospect, and especially so at this unusual time in history. God is sovereign over our days and you can trust that He has brought you here with significant purpose in mind. These years will be a time of adventure, discovery and formation and we at Emmanuel want to journey with you.
Stephen Dawson and Christina Omoloso share a short snippit of what you can expect at Emmanuel.
There are many different ways to connect with us at Emmanuel. Make sure to keep scrolling down our page to see our events, services, & societies.

New here? We'd love to invite you to our Alpha course as your first step. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Whether you're a Christian or just exploring the faith, Alpha is a great place to start meeting students, building foundations, making friends, and learning together no matter what your background.
Some of the questions covered are 'Is there more to life than this?', 'Who is Jesus?' and 'How can I have faith?'
Get involved in our student events coming up. Click the events below to find out more information.
Now more than ever we feel the importance of adding value to every student's experience of university. Over the years at Emmanuel, we have engaged in many different ways to provide practical help, tips and support on the things that you are thinking about: Injustice, care, money, race, mental health, business and career.
We encourage students to get involved with our BLESS Society on Sussex campus. We meet every Sunday on campus at 4pm to educate students on the topics above and ways in which you can get more involved. Each week, we will be serving Pizza or Subway sandwiches completely FREE.
Whether it be courses to help you take charge of your finances or charitable causes you can get involved in to help those in need. This is a place to invite your friends, learn and educate yourselves, and eat until you can't eat anymore. We will then be jumping on the FREE bus from campus to the evening service at the Clarendon Centre for 6 for those who want to join us.
